My Imperfect Friend
I gaze into your eyes. Your depth is from a lifetime of
experiences.
You are truly a jigsaw puzzle that fits imperfectly making
you perfectly unique. You forget God makes no mistakes. You see scars but miss
the beauty marks others see. If only you see yourself through others eyes!
Right in this moment, I am tuned into you, a woman full of mountain
climbs that shaped her. It feels like more
than one person could possibly contain.
And yet, there you are, sometimes unaware of your true reflection.
I shut off the light and turn away from the mirror.
