My Imperfect Friend

 


I gaze into your eyes. Your depth is from a lifetime of experiences. 

You are truly a jigsaw puzzle that fits imperfectly making you perfectly unique. You forget God makes no mistakes. You see scars but miss the beauty marks others see. If only you see yourself through others eyes! 

Right in this moment, I am tuned into you, a woman full of mountain climbs that shaped her.  It feels like more than one person could possibly contain.  And yet, there you are, sometimes unaware of your true reflection.

 

I shut off the light and turn away from the mirror.
