The Long Good-Bye for Nancy

| Me, Nancy and Rody |
I made a beautiful friend last year at a Cancer Camp I went
to. When she walked into the Cabin she was assigned to, the same one as me, she
looked quite tentative. We spoke and I
assured her she was not on her own that weekend. And, what followed was a blast of a weekend,
so much fun, laughter and sharing. Nancy returned six months later for the Fall
Camp Bluebird which gave us more time to chill and expand our memories, myself
and all those others who came to know Nancy.
A friendship was formed that enriched my life and hopefully
hers. Nancy was many things, a wife, a mom, a grandma and a TWIN! Nancy was a
beautiful artist; her paintings are treasures.
She also created handmade dolls and her rock painting was supreme! Such
detail and creativity on everything she created.
The stream texts between her and another mutual friend were uplifting and also supportive in nature no matter what any of us was going through. I will miss those; just out of the blue, a kind word in passing. A forever friend with unconditional love and support is very hard to find.
Nancy Miracle (yes that was her last name!) had Uterine Cance, Stage 4, when I met her and was in and out of various treatments and a trial or two. She suffered there towards the end far too much and passed on this weekend, Saturday the 28th of March. Truly the world lost an angel of a lady! But I am so glad she will not suffer any longer, not be trying this drug or that drug of
having to run to the hospital, no worries, just assimilating to a place perfect for her, heaven! I know she will fit right in as she has already earned her wings here on earth.
Meeting and getting to know Nancy was like being touched by an angel. Her beautiful shone from
every aspect of her life. Never was it more evident that in her paintings which showed her creativity, her humor and her love of life. She was reserved but inside passionate about those she cared about. Those of us that loved her know she is irreplaceable and will be so missed. May you Nancy rest in peace and have the joy you brought to so many others. Prayers for your peace and prayers to God for blessing me with having you in my life, even only for a little while, it left a lasting impression.
